Job description
We are looking for a suitable candidate to fill in the position of Communications and Marketing Coordinator for Atlas Copco Eastern Africa. This position will be charged with increasing the visibility of Atlas Copco Construction, Power, Mining and related products and services within the Eastern Africa market and also supporting the respective sales and service teams with marketing related activities. The position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya

Communications & Marketing Job Responsibilities

  • Driving the marketing communications for in Eastern Africa-
  • Providing marketing related support to the sales and services team-
  • Identifying communication gaps in the market and coming up appropriate solutions to fill the gaps-
  • Creating and distributing regular internal and external communication in line with Atlas Copco guidelines-
  • Lead the digital marketing communications in the company-
  • Ensuring distributors are promptly updated with product and service information and assisting them with correct branding within their setups-
  • Coordinating advertising, promotions, customer days and other related events-
  • Liaison with divisional communication teams to ensure updated information is available at the customer center-
  • Develop and execute end-to-end campaigns for the various levels of channel partners as per the Marketing Communications strategy-
  • Track and prepare reports on the effectiveness of marketing programs-
  • Drive lead generation from campaigns and work alongside the sales team to track and grow the indirect pipeline with the use of CRM tools- Regularly monitor key distributors websites bringing any improvements or changes that will increase business/brand awareness to the attention of your manager-
  • Ensure regular, consistent and inspiring communication both online and offline for our business partners in the form of newsletters, performance vs target reporting etc-
  • Ensure communication portals and other online portals are maintained with the most up to date information and manage user profiles- Coordinate point of sale materials such as giveaways and literature-
  • Assist with planning and administration of events, hospitality, exhibitions and trade shows with regard to point of sale material, hotels, logistics and attendance lists-
  • Take control/ownership of marketing costs.

Experience requirements for Communication & Marketing Job

  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in a sales and marketing environment- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.- Good organization and teamwork abilities- Ability to build strong and effective working relationships with customers and colleagues


  • Good command of written and spoken English – Communication applications knowledge (WordPress, In design, Photoshop, etc)

Educational requirements

  • A university degree in communications, marketing or related fields

Personality requirements

  • Strong planning, organizational skills and ability to think strategically- Innovative in nature and able to take initiatives- Ability to handle multiple assignments and pressure-
