British Council Job Vacancy in Kenya : Contract Support Manager



  • Providing advice, support, training, and troubleshooting for the education & society delivery
  • Develop and maintain management information, communications and knowledge management systems
  • Ensure that delivery and business development teams operate efficiently and effectively
  • Achieve business targets, project outcomes, and compliance with British Council and client quality standards


  • Development and maintenance of a Sub Saharan Africa regional business management portal
  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date and comprehensive information systems
  • Deploying an understanding of the context of contract delivery
  • Maintaining good working relationships with key contract team members
  • Provide assurance on quality standards and risk management to portfolio leads, operations manager, project managers and project team leaders
  • Ensure that the knowledge and learning from these reviews is captured in the business management portal and made available across the region.
  • Develop project delivery tool kits for guiding delivery teams
  • Assess emerging challenges that delivery teams face and develop practical solutions that meet corporate standards and commercial needs
  • Preparing consultancy contracts for consultants and suppliers
  • Setting up users on British Council IT/business systems and offering training and advice
  • Providing guidance to delivery team staff and consultants on security protocols
  • Giving guidance on corporate risk management standards
  • Assisting with IT infrastructure set up and troubleshooting
  • Providing structured induction for new finance and operations staff in contract teams
  • Managing Recruitment Locating and leasing accommodation

Experience in comparable role(s) and a good understanding of the client funded business context and challenges
