Food Security & Nutrition Officer – REF: FSNO/07/2017 – Based in Laisamis, Marsabit County (1 Position)

Deadline: 14th July 2017

Reporting to the Emergency Coordinator the officer will be responsible for field-level implementation of the CARE International Kenya cash transfer programme, including coordination with county government, programme partners, beneficiary communities, and other organizations. He/She will represent CARE at field level and ensure the smooth implementation of quality programming that meets the immediate needs of the drought affected communities in Laisamis Sub County of Marsabit.

Monitoring & Evaluation Officer – REF: MEO/07/2017 – Based in Laisamis, Marsabit County (1 Position)

Reporting to the Emergency Coordinator the officer will be responsible for field-level monitoring and evaluation activities of CARE International in Kenya Emergency Drought Response.

The purpose of the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) officer position is to provide leadership and support in development and operationalization of an M&E system for drought response (on Food Security and Nutrition and WASH) in Laisamis Sub County of Marsabit County and for WASH monitoring support in Garissa county, working collaboratively with the implementing partners. He/She will develop and use M&E plans and processes and will develop and support partners’ capacity to monitor and demonstrate progress and outcomes of interventions

Procurement Coordinator – REF: PC/07/2017 – Based in Dadaab (1 Position)

Deadline: 12th July 2017

Reporting to the Director of Refugee Operations, the Procurement Coordinator will be responsible for identifying reliable and viable suppliers. The incumbent will ensure project materials/Services are procured in accordance with CARE Kenya Procurement manual and donor regulations and are of the required quality.  The job holder will be responsible for preparation and update of the procurement status report (PRT) and making follow-ups with Nairobi Office on purchases made and expedite on deliveries to Dadaab. She/he will ensure the efficient procurement of goods and services including consultancy contracts, timeliness, and to monitor Dadaab procurement to identify problems and provide solutions to any procurement issues. Plan, direct and coordinate the activities of purchasing officers and related workers involved in purchasing materials, products, and services.

WASH Officer – REF: WOG/06/2017 – Based in Garissa  County (1 Position)

The incumbent of this position shall take charge of technical aspects of Emergency WASH on behalf of the program under the supervision of the WASH Engineer. His/her main roles and in consultation with the WASH Engineer and the county government technical teams shall include; designing, planning, implementing (technical oversights), monitoring and reporting on the Program’s WASH & Livestock water infrastructure activities. The incumbent will participate in all coordination meetings between CARE’s Program and the County Government departmental leads/heads.
