Reporting directly to the Operations Director this role is about supporting the strategic advisory services to clients to help them evaluate and manage their security-related risks and transforming protection objectives into phased engineering design.


Clients will be senior decision makers in Multinational Corporations, Governments and International organizations, and quasi-governmental organizations. Clients will also include International Architects and Multidisciplinary engineering consultancies


The job requirements:

  • Contributing to consulting projects, including:
  • Client facing interaction and assisting with development of security strategy
  • Responsibility for project management of small, medium and large consultancy and design engineering projects
  • Information gathering and technical research relating to project specific design solutions
  • Undertaking security surveys and developing security risk assessments
  • Presenting findings of work to team members and clients in an iterative and participative manner as needed
  • Production of strategic security and engineering deliverables, drawings, documentation, reports, and presentation materials covering: Security Strategy Reports, Security Audits, Security Risk Assessments, BMS Systems design, Fire detection & suppression systems design, Security Operations Reports (CCTV, ACS etc.) and ownership of deliverables, Concept Design Reports & Drawings, Scheme Design Reports & Drawings, Network Topology Design & Drawings, Detailed Design Reports & Drawings, Engineering Calculations (including Power, UPS, Network, Bandwidth, Storage etc.), BoM and BoQ Reports
  • CAPEX and OPEX forecasting
  • Representation at consultations with client representatives, government agencies and industry associates connected to specific projects
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and product vendors with a view to strengthening the company offering



Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a security consultant or security design engineer, preferably in a top tier consulting or engineering firm
  • Industry experience in the infrastructure security sector and/or government strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary engineering environment
  • Demonstrable experience of large scale and complex security assignments in at least 3 key sectors e.g. Oil & Gas, Hospitality, Large Commercial Buildings, Education Sector, New Builds, Health care, Retail & Financial Services
  • In-depth knowledge of the latest physical and electronic security systems including excellent technical / product knowledge of all types of security, fire and BMS systems and solutions: CCTV, IT networking, Access control, Video Management Systems, Security Command Centres, BMS Systems & Fire Safety Systems
  • Ability to understand and apply and author project documentation, including: Technical Standards, Manufacturers Product Specifications, Customer Requirement Documents, Design, Quality & Performance, Specifications, Safety, Reliability & Regulatory Standards
  • Comfortable in a fast changing environment and able to work appropriate hours and in sometimes difficult locations
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, combined with a strategic perspective
  • Intellectual versatility and desire to work on projects across different areas
  • Ability to structure thinking in a logical and compelling way
  • Excellent people engagement (upward and downward management, client interaction) skills
  • Self-starter who thrives in an environment where drive and initiative are critical, is determined to succeed, and is comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Strong team player who can communicate, motivate and interact effectively with technical, commercial and support staff team-members
  • Ability to quickly develop professional and trusted relationships with a variety of cultures and clients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Written and Oral)
  • Intermediate user in MS Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint and Visio
  • CAD and / or REVIT experience essential



  • Ideally Degree-educated in engineering
  • Experience in Engineering Design of Physical and Electronic Security Systems
  • Wide knowledge base of vendor products and contacts
  • Industry qualifications such as PSP, CPP, ASIS
  • Sector qualifications such as PFSO
