Data Capture and •   Carry out data entry and data cleaning of the Full
Reporting project data from the supported sites (health  
  facilities and community).  
  •   Support preparation of timely internal and external  
  reports.  
  •   Ensure patient files and other records are properly  
  stored and archived.  
  •   Ensure that the confidentiality of any information  
  relating to project and services of Amref Health  
  Africa acquired in the course of duty is maintained.  
  •   Work closely with Health care workers,  
  Community Health Volunteers (CHVs), Health  
  Records Information Officers (HRIOs),  
  Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW)  
  and other relevant persons at the health facility and  
  community level to ensure the quality of data is  
  maintained.  
     
Data analysis and •   Participate in the design, and implementation of Partial
reporting data analysis plans.  
  •   Participate in the implementation of data  
  management policies that include: database design,  
  database backup and storage, security, data  
  cleaning, analysis and integration.  
  •   Participate in the preparation of Data management  
  SOPs to ensure quality assurance and control of  
  data collected.  
     
Project review •   Participate in health facility and project review Partial
meetings meetings.  
     
Others •   Assist the other project staff in other duties, as Partial
  required

7             REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

7.1         Education (academic and professional as per Amref Health Africa Policy)

 

  • Diploma or first degree in social sciences, IT, statistics, Public health or its equivalent

 

 

7.2         Experience (number of years as per Amref Health Africa Policy)

 

  • Experience in data entry

 

  • Experience in data quality assurance and reporting

 

  • Experience in data analysis both qualitative and quantitative is an added advantage

 

7.3         Skills

 

  • ICT proficient

  • Thorough understanding of all Amref Health Africa’s Policies and Procedures – HR, Finance, Procurement, Transport, Per Diem, Communications, Asset and Disposal, ICT, etc.

 

8.2         Work Environment

 

Vast regions: Covering many health facilities across counties which may be far apart.

Required utilize the means of transport available to reach the supported sites.

 

The role is largely field based and no physical office space will be provided. The staff will utilize available space within the supported health facilities as required.

 

8.3         Hours of Work

 

  • 38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday with official working hours from 8.00am to 5.00pm with one hour lunch break from 1 pm to 2 pm. Friday official working hours from 8.00am to 2.00pm
