The Madhvani Group is a leading international professionally-managed industrial and services conglomerate, engaged in diverse operations in East Africa. One of its flagship businesses is the cultivation and production of Sugar and Electricity Co-Generation.
It has a 7,200 TCD Sugar Factory with two milling tandems and total 50 MW Co-Generation capacities at Kakira in Uganda.
The Madhvani Group has ambitious plans to expand its sugar business in Africa in the next two years through both acquisitions and greenfield projects as well as expansion and diversification – such as an ethanol, distillery, organic fertilizers, etc.
In preparation for its expansion plans, the Group seeks to recruit the following sugar industry professionals:

Deputy Manager – Electrical Engineering

Reporting to the Manager – Electrical Engineering the incumbent will be responsible for Electrical department day to day operations, routine and breakdown maintenance, new installations at the Sugar Mill, minimize downtime, ensuring that good engineering standards are adhered to, designing and implementing a preventive electrical maintenance programme in liaison with other sections, determining the minimum and maximum levels of electrical spares and materials that are maintained in the stores, identifying technical training requirements and implement training programmes to ensure the electrical staff are suitably trained to meet the requirements of the job.

The candidate should be an Electrical Engineering graduate with 15 years of experience in sugar / co-generation industry, 5 of which should be in a managerial position.
Instrumentation experience would be an added advantage.
