This role reports to the Group Business Performance Management Manager
The Business Performance Analyst supports the BPM Manager in driving an insightful and proactive business performance management cycle for EABL group’ Role will also support the Group BPM Manager in the monthly business forecasting process and the annual planning cycle, the role will be accountable for the end of month financial processes for the hub unit and provide exceptional decision support across markets.
Purpose of role:
Drives the overall corporate performance in line with strategic imperatives. This is achieved through a rigorous strategic planning process, financial planning and forecasting and BPM conversations with business units to ensure business ambitions is realized . Supporting the Group BPM Manager on the operational issues, financial process and analysis to enable insights to action outcomes will be a key expectation of the role.
Market Complexity:
EABL operates within a multicultural, multinational, multicurrency environment. The Group comprises 10 trading entities, most of which have complex ownership structures including third party interests. Each market also operates in very different ways in terms of production and route market and with the expansion across the region this is further changing. Dealing with the various Alcohol bills across the region, which further complicates how we trade/advertise.

Top Accountabilities:

  • Robust and accurate BPM process that drives performance across market.
  • Actively supports the BPM manager in leading a comprehensive and integrated in country BPM process, by developing robust financial reporting suites that provide financial and commercial visibility and insights used by the local EXEC to support their decision making and track progress against strategic objectives.
  • Preparation of non-routine reports that analyze and interpret financial data to support ad hoc decision making.
  • Has an excellent understanding of various systems so they are able to think broadly when a system related challenge occurs and extract data in a way that supports the decision making
  • Annual operating plan-actively support the BPM Manager in orchestrating the end to end annual operating plan in country for both P&L lines and cash flow.
  • Owns the AOP data submissions in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Supports the delivery of the Group Finance P&L, financial management of group P&L items.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Graduate with qualifications in CPA or ACCA.
  • Highly numerate, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Energy &drive to dig down into the numbers to understand performance trends.
  • Ability to ‘stand back’ and sense check consolidated numbers.
  • Self-starter and able to deal with ambiguity when consolidating information across markets.
  • SAP accounting knowledge and experience working with shared service Centre is an added advantage
