Human Resources Officers
The Job Specification:- The ideal candidate will be well educated preferably to degree level with specialization in Human Resource Management.
Will be mature both in years and emotional temperament tested in a similar position in a union environment (preferably KHAWU or KUDHEIHA).
Will demonstrate good hands on experience in all areas of personnel administration and industrial relations.
In particular, command of law of contract, the current Labour Laws, Industrial Court procedures, Trade Union Agreements, Disciplinary process, Performance Appraisal and Training is necessary. Training Needs Analysis, especially if gained in the hotel industry will be a distinct advantage.
The Job:- The holders will be assigned to a specific unit reporting to a Human Resources manager and will be expected to handle the unit’s recruitment, placement, development, appraisal, rewards, employee records, the inevitable discipline matters and separations guided by the HRM and unit managers.
The candidate will also handle the ideal manning levels vis a vis occupancies ensuring the unit manages leave, off duties and public holidays efficiently with due regard to employee needs and organizational requirements.
