The International Development Research Centre (IDRC), a Canadian Crown corporation, supports financially and through capacity-building, research in developing regions of the world to promote growth and development.

We are seeking a dynamic team player for the following position in our Regional Office for Sub-Saharan Africa:

Security and Office Administration Coordinator – Nairobi, Kenya

Reporting to the Manager, Local Operations, you will manage all matters related to the security of IDRC employees in Nairobi, and to the protection of assets at the regional office.
You will have strong security networks to access and disseminate security intelligence to the IDRC office management and staff.
Further, you will oversee performance of outsourced security guards at staff residential areas and ensure that IDRC-owned vehicles are serviced on schedule.

In addition, you will collaborate with the Office Administration Assistant in the administration of the office, and support liaisons with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs/Kenya Revenue Authority for document processing.
As the ideal candidate, you will have a two-year college diploma in a relevant speciality, a minimum of five years related experience, good English and Kiswahili language skills, a valid driving licence and a clean police report.
