Investigations Officer I Job at The Ethics & Anti-Corruption Commission, Kenya

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) is established under Section 3 of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission Act No. 22 of 2011, pursuant to article (79) of the Constitution of Kenya.

The Commission invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions;-

Investigations Officer I (Civil Engineer), Job Grade -Eacc “7”

Reporting to Deputy Director Forensic Investigations through the Assistant Director –Forensic Investigations

Investigation Officer Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Advising on the Laws, Procedures and Practices relating to the construction industry;
  • Assisting other investigators on issues relating to infrastructure inquires;
  • Investigating cases of corruption and economic crimesespecially inquiries in infrastructure projects among others;
  • Identifying and tracing corruptly acquired assets;
  • Preserving assets that are subject of investigation;
  • Compiling and submitting investigation reports;
  • Supporting civil proceedings against any person for the recovery of corruptly acquired property or benefits;
  • Preparing expert reports and support prosecution of cases in court.

Requirements for Investigation Officer Job

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-

  • Minimum working experience of 8 years (post registration with the relevant professional body);
  • Served in the grade of Investigations Officer II or in a comparable position for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  • A degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university;
  • Relevant professional qualifications;
  • Criminal Investigations Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;
  • Certificate in computer application skills;
