FXB Rwanda is a Rwandan Local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) created in February 2012. It is affiliated to FXB International; an international NGO created in 1989, whose mission is to fight poverty and HIV/AIDS. In line with its program implementation in seven districts of Rwanda, FXB Rwanda would like to recruit the following staff for the coordination and field offices for the USAID Turengere Abana Program.

1) Position title: Nutrition and Wash Coordinator
Reports to: Technical Team Lead
Number of position: 1
Job location: Nyanza district
Period:One year renewable based on performance

JOB PURPOSE:
The Nutrition and WASH Coordinator is responsible for providing coordination and technical oversight to USAID Turengere Abana nutrition and WASH activities. He/She will provide coordination guidance, technical support and training to field staff to enable them to carry out project activities efficiently and effectively, and will closely monitor the progress of project implementation. He/she will have overall responsibility for technical support, monitoring & evaluation and reporting for the nutrition and WASH component activities and will insure that the program is achieving the expected results and objectives with regard to nutrition and WASH component. He/she will ensure that the activities related to Nutrition and WASH and program approaches (CBNP, PDH, BIAT and ISLGs) are implemented following the standards of FXB Rwanda, MoH and USAID in the area of Nutrition and WASH and that the approaches spread by the program are effectively disseminated and adopted by served HHs.

Major Responsibilities
• Initiate and Coordinate the implementation of the interventions of Nutrition and WASH activities within the program covered area in compliance with the policies and regulations of FXB Rwanda, MoH and USAID;
• Coordinate and monitor trainings of Community Health Worker, PLHIV, lactating and pregnant women and other different target groups on key HIV/AIDS behavioral change, health, nutrition and hygiene topics especially to reduce malnutrition and mitigate the impact of HIV/AIDS among PLHA, Orphans and Vulnerable children;
• Identify training and capacity needs of staff under his/her supervision and organize training, mentoring and coaching as necessary;
• Coordinate data collection regarding nutrition and WASH activities and ensure accuracy of data entry and filing of supporting documents at the field level
• Coordinate the promotion of Farmer Field School (FFS) for pregnant and lactating mothers, children and PLHA as well as regular tracking of health and nutritional status information for both PLHIV and under five for potential referrals by taking their body mass index;
• Coordinate the formation and trainings of Internal Savings and Lending Groups (ISLGs) among program beneficiaries;
• Coordinate and supervise WASH activities at the district level to ensure that targeted households have improved latrines, hand washing stations and improved hygienic conditions;
• Support effective working relationships with the Ministry of Health (MoH), other relevant government authorities and other partners engaged in the field of nutrition;
• Participate in different meetings organized by other partners involved in nutrition and health activities;
• Participate in preparation and organization of quarterly and cluster meetings with local authorities, health centers representatives and CHWs;
• Coordinate the elaboration of program work plan related to Nutrition and WASH activities at National as well at district level;
• Prepare and submit data and narrative reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual) relating to nutrition and WASH activities on timely basis;
• Ensure proper use of project assets under his / her responsibility;
• Ensure that payments made under nutrition / WASH are in accordance with finance and administrative procedures;
• Ensure that vehicle logbooks and timesheets are maintained;
• Maintain inventory of Nutrition / WASH equipment and assets .
• Work with other departments namely Finance and Monitoring and Evaluation to ensure timely procurement of materials and tools required for the nutrition and WASH component project activities.

DESIRED COMPETENCES
• Minimum of a bachelor’s Degree in nutrition and related field;
• At least 3 years of experience in similar position;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Kinyarwanda
• Computer literate to a high standard in Microsoft Office
• Excellent capacity to analyze, treat data and share information and knowledge of data analysis software (SPSS, Stata);
• Experience in USAID funded programs is an added advantage

2) Position title: Nutrition Officers
Reports to: Nutrition and WASH Coordinator
Number of position: 3
Job location: Nyanza district
Period: One year renewable based on performance

JOB PURPOSE:
The nutrition officers will be responsible for the promotion and adoption of nutrition good practices by serving communities through Community Based Nutrition Program (CBNP) and enhance the improvement of wellbeing of the PLHIV in program operational areas by passing on skills in health (Hygiene and sanitation), nutrition, HIV/AIDS prevention, mitigation and management through trainings and demonstrations.

Major Responsibilities
• Plan and conduct training of Community Health Workers, PLHIV, lactating and pregnant women and other different target groups on key HIV/AIDS behavioral change, health, nutrition and hygiene topics especially to reduce malnutrition and mitigate the impact of HIV/AIDS among PLHIV;
• Ensure that acquired knowledge are shared among served communities;
• Organize pregnant and lactating mothers into Cooking Demonstration Groups (CDGs) and Internal Savings & Lending Groups (ISLGs);
• Support community health workers in timely collection of data for monthly growth monitoring;
• Ensure timely data entry and data quality for nutrition component activities;
• In collaboration with the Nutrition and WASH Coordination, analyse nutrition status data and provide feedback to CHWs for appropriate actions including referrals, PDH based on children, pregnant and lactating women’s nutrition status;
• Promote community based Farmer Field Schools (FFS) for pregnant and lactating women, children and PLHIV;
• Initiate and develop saving and lending groups among pregnant and lactating mothers and PLHIV;
• Ensure there is close collaboration with other partners and NGOs involved in health and nutrition activities at the district level;
• Prepare and organize quarterly and cluster meetings with local authorities, health centers representatives and CHWs;
• Assist the Nutrition and WASH Coordinator to develop program work plan and district work plan;
• Prepare and submit data and narrative reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly ) to the Nutrition and WASH Coordinator on timely basis.

DESIRED COMPETENCES
• Minimum of a bachelor’s in nutrition, nursing and related field;
• At least 3 years of experience in nutrition and community health activities in a busy NGO
• Computer literate to a high standard in Microsoft Office
o Good communication skills in French or English and Kinyarwanda;
o Must have a driving license, category A

3) Position title: OVC Regional Manager
Reports to: Technical Team Lead
Number of position: 1
Job location: Kayonza District
Period:One year renewable based on performance

JOB PURPOSE:
The Regional Manager will be responsible for coordinating project implementation activities at the district level. He/she will be responsible for submitting monthly and quarterly data and narrative reports and assist the technical team at coordination office to develop annual action plans and performance framework.

Major Responsibilities
– Assist the technical team lead to develop annual action plans and implementation;
– Coordinate with field facilitators to generate quality reports with clear data sources;
– Provide technical support to field facilitators under his/her supervision;
– Review monthly requests for funds from field facilitators to be submitted to coordination office for approval;
– Ensure that field advance accountabilities submitted to the coordination office are correct and supported by adequate documentation;
– Plan weekly and monthly activities to be implemented at district and sector level;
– Keep checkbooks and receipts of the regional office;
– Supervise the work of interns and volunteers working in his/her regional office;
– Ensure proper use of project assets under their responsibility;
– Ensure that payments made related to OVC are in accordance with finance and administrative procedures;
– Ensure that vehicle logbooks and timesheets are maintained;
– Maintain inventory of equipment and assets under their responsibility;
– Submit monthly data report and quarterly narrative reports to the Technical Team Lead;
– Represent FXB in meetings, seminars and forums with local authorities and community leaders in their regional office;
– Ensure proper management of bank accounts maintained at regional office;
– Participate in grant proposal writing and development of new projects;
– Monitor project progress and participate in mid-term and final project evaluation;
– Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

DESIRED COMPETENCES

4) Position title: Project Development Officer
Reports to: Technical Team Lead
Number of position: 1
Job location: Coordination Office, Kigali
Period:One year renewable based on performance

JOB PURPOSE:
The project development officer for participating in compilation of monitoring and evaluation reports and annual work plan. She/he will also be responsible for business development through regularly updating the Business Development Matrix and project proposal writing.

Major Responsibilities
– Assist the Technical Team Lead in compilation of monitoring and evaluation reports from the regional managers and project coordinators;
– Assist the Technical Team Lead in compilation of the annual plan and Monitoring & Evaluation Plan;
– Participate in developing quarterly and annual performance reports to be submitted to different donors;
– Assist the management team in proposal writing and regularly update the Business Development Matrix,
– Coordinate and participate in M&E related activities as determined by the program, including but not limited to site visits, data collection, data quality assessments, capacity building activities, reports and presentations;
– Collaborate with Technical Team Lead to provide additional M&E support to program staff as needed;
– Assist in development and implementation of program baseline surveys and evaluation as well as ongoing routine monitoring;

5) Position title: Communication and Human Resources Officer
Reports to: Executive Director
Number of position: 1
Job location: Coordination Office, Kigali
Period:One year renewable based on performance

JOB PURPOSE:
The communication and human resources officer is responsible for effectively implementing organizational communication strategy and branding and marking plans. She/he will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with human resources policies and procedures and coordinate staff development and capacity building plans.
Major Responsibilities
– Support the management team of FXB Rwanda in developing and effectively implementing the communication plan;
– Meeting and event arrangements; preparing reports for publications and customer relations;
– Assist administratively the Executive Director office by managing administrative documents and build adequate administrative system;
– Lead the production and timely submission of high quality communication resources such as photos, videos, situation reports, and newsletters, narrative reports to relevant facts & data to support Regional Offices and other key stakeholders;
– Promote a culture of communication in the organization through engaging staff using internal communication channels;
– Support the National Office by managing/coordinating all communications including handling media inquiries, facilitating field visits, preparing press statements and arranging press conference;
– Identify sensitive communication issues that can affect FXB Rwanda and support senior management in responding;
– Support and ensure that all communications to various stakeholders, media and public are aligned to FXB Rwanda and Donors brand;
– Develop and maintain good working relationships with external stakeholders such as media, donors, government, policy makers, partners and audiences to enhance FXB Rwanda’s credibility and influence in promotion of children’s rights;
– Contribute to the development of national office’s strategy providing expertise relating to communications;
– Provide technical communication support to other FXB Rwanda departments and projects in the production of publications in line with FXB Rwanda Communication Policy;

6) Position title: Social Worker
Reports to: Project Development Officer
Number of position: 1
Job location: Nyamirambo Sector, Nyarugenge District, Kigali
Period:One year renewable based on performance

JOB PURPOSE:
The social worker is responsible for education, family monitoring and the organization and implementation of nutritional counseling, HIV prevention and child rights sensitization. The social worker is also responsible for economic training, including individual and collective Income Generating Activities management and development, initiation and development of internal credit systems and establishment of micro-credit schemes.
The Social Worker tasks include:
• Sensitization of communities and target groups on program objectives, strategies and activities.
• Identification and registration of potential beneficiaries of the program based on the lists established by the local authorities and program criteria.
• Participation in preparation of action plans (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually) in consultation with Unit Manager and other colleagues
• Sensitization to and conducting training of beneficiaries in IGA, micro-finance and cooperative management,
• Assistance to program beneficiaries in preparation and execution of IGA and supporting households to open a savings account with a micro-finance partner and monitor changes in income, expenses, debt, and savings
• Ensuring that the vulnerable children enrolled in the program have school materials and ensuring they remain in and complete school
• Identification of other stakeholders operating in the target communities and ensuring relationship with them as well as with local authorities and leaders
• Participation in selection of suppliers of material to distribute to the beneficiaries
• Preparation of fund requests with collaboration of nurse counselor and unit manager
• Ensuring home visits to assist beneficiaries and follow-up of activities
• Sensitization to and conducting training of beneficiaries and communities in promotion and protection of child rights

JOB PURPOSE:
The nurse counselor is responsible for organizing and carrying out collective and individual counseling sessions, providing health education and establishing satisfactory nutritional status.
The nurse counselor’s tasks include:
• Sensitization to program activities.
• Identification and registration of potential beneficiaries.
• Provision of psychosocial counseling to all beneficiaries on a daily basis.
• Sensitization to and training in hygienic principles, nutrition, vaccination, family planning, etc.
• Home visits to assist beneficiaries with daily medical problems.
• Accompaniment of beneficiaries through Voluntary Counseling and Testing process and provision of counseling.
• Collaboration with local health systems to ensure beneficiaries’ access to care.
• Participation in all medical activities that would facilitate access to health services and ensure satisfactory health status.
Qualifications and experience
