Qualifications for Sub-Editor Kenyan Jobs
• Bachelors Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Media Communications/ Media studies/Education/Broadcast Journalism from a recognized institution
• At least three (3) years experience as a full-time Sub- Editor or five (5) years experience as a Senior News Reporter
• Have a wide network of contacts within the media industry as well as in key news makers
• Excellent English skills (both written and spoken)
• Have strong writing and editing skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Highly proficient in computer applications
• Have working knowledge of online technology, online news best practices and an appreciation of the business processes, protocols and controls
• Have knowledge of Television and Radio news production, packaging and dissemination techniques and methods
• Have knowledge and understanding of laws, media laws and code of ethics, precedents, government regulations and the democratic political process
