We are looking for an HR assistant to handle a variety of daily administrative operations of the Human Resource Department.

HR assistant responsibilities include providing information/ maintaining Records and clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources activities and basic functions related to customer care.

He / she will work under the immediate supervision of the Assistant Human Resource Officer with direct oversight of the Director of Human Resources.

HR Internships Responsibilities

  • Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources staff.
  • Compile and updates employee records (hard and soft copies)
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc)
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing timely relevant data (attendance, leaves, etc).
  • Maintains employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data.
  • Submits employee data reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data.
  • Provides secretarial by entering, formatting, and printing information; organizing work; answering the telephone; relaying messages, maintaining equipment and supplies.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protect operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
  • Efficiently manage the Human Resources office including supervision of cleaning.

  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and on time.
  • Timely retrieval of files, correspondences and other documents.
  • Prompt distribution of mails and other documents.

Requirements for the HR Internships

  • Diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office packages for word processing, data entry and management including spreadsheet applications.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy regarding time and organizational management.
  • Ability to multi-task with extensive customer service skills,
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle stress in a fast paced working environment.
  • Ability to nurture and maintain positive working relationships with staff.
  • Ability to apply basic skills related to office administration.
  • Must possess personal qualities related to respect for the rights and confidentiality of others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience in Human Resource department will be an added advantage
  • Good at meeting deadlines a Self – starter, assertive and quick learner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
