Our client, a leading manufacturer in east and central Africa is looking for a skilled Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate will provide planning and leadership to the marketing department by developing appropriate structures, systems, competencies and values in order to meet and exceed the set objectives. He/ she should be great at strategy planning, marketing concepts, excellent people management skills, competitive analysis, good customer relations and great client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements.
    • Defining market competitor’s share, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses.
    • Forecasting projected business and establish targeted market share.
    • Improve product marketability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities.
    • Improving product packaging; coordinating new product development.
    • Assume overall responsibility for developing the annual marketing plan for the organization,
    • Market research programs; field activities, and control of the marketing budget.
    • Production of marketing materials and literature.
    • Coordinating the production of a wide range of marketing communications.
    • Forecast, measure, analyse and report on the impact of overall marketing activities.
    • Lead, manage, motivate develop and provide direction to the entire marketing department.
    • Coordinating the production of a wide range of marketing communications.
    • Carry out Route to Market Execution and the marketing plan.
    • Market plan implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
    • Carry out Marketing Strategy Road Map and Implement Marketing Strategies.
    • Incharge of event strategy implementation and marketing activities.

Qualification:
• BSc/BA in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field.
• Proven experience as marketing manager within the FMCG industry handling marketing & brand awareness.
• Between 30 to 40 years.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships.
• Ability in problem-solving and negotiation.
• Strong creative thinking.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
