The African Academy of Sciences is looking for a Monitoring and Evaluation manager for its agenda setting and funding platform, the Alliance for Accelerating excellence in Science in Africa (AESA). The incumbent will be employed on a three year contract to monitor progress and outcomes; and assess impact, procedures and methodologies and capture data for AESA and its programmes. The role will also include grant operations functions such as grant admission and ensuring recepients conform to funding requirements and policies.
Qualifications for the Montioring and Evaluation Job:
- A masters or PHD in a relevant field, five years’ experience in M&E positions of seniority;
- proven success in designing, implementing, and experience in designing and managing M&E database systems
- strategic planning and performance measurement, including indicator selection, target setting, reporting, database management, and developing M&E ad performance monitoring plans.
- An understanding of the scientific landscape and context in Africa and of the continents health research and research governance also required.
