NGO Driver Vacancies In Kenya


St. John’s Community Centre is a faith based organization of the Anglican Church of Kenya Nairobi Diocese. We have projects aimed at improving the livelihood of Orphan and Vulnerable Children and elimination of Mother to Child transmission of HIV (eMTCT) through an integrated community based program.

We wish to recruit suitable professionals to the following positions:

Driver Job Key Responsibilities

  • Driving assigned vehicle
  • Carrying out routine checks on the vehicles
  • Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of the vehicle systems
  • Maintenance of work ticket(s) for vehicles assigned
  • Ensuring security and safety of the vehicles off and on the road
  • Overseeing safety of passengers and/or goods therein
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicles
  • Assisting with office clerical work

Academic Qualifications for Driver Job


  • KCSE mean grade D+ or its equivalent
  • Passed occupational Trade Test for drivers
  • Valid driving license from any current endorsement for class of vehicles the officer is required to drive
  • Defensive driving certificate from the Automobile association of Kenya or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution
  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police
  • Have attained a First-Aid Certificate lasting not less than one (1) week at St. John’s Ambulance or Kenya institute of Highway and building technology (KIHBT)
  • Have served as a driver for at least 2 year preferably in a medium to large enterprise in public or private sector
  • Competency in driving within the city
  • Ability to make basic motor vehicle repairs
  • Time management skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability
