Kisumu County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following positions in their respective Departments as listed below:-

Office Admin Assistant Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the procurement plan activities and programs
  • Ensuring compliance with Finance/Budgetary requirements or provision
  • Ensuring effective utilisation of the departmental resources
  • Coordinating training and development programs for the section
  • Handling all administrative matters within established policies, rules and regulations
  • Supervising clerical officers and other staff below this position
  • Managing all fixed assets for the department in liaison with the Finance Office
  • Assisting in implementing decisions of the Procurement, Tender and Disposal Committee
  • Handling queries, inquiries and complaints
  • Coordinating scheduling of meetings for various committees
  • Ensuring security of office records, equipment and documents including classified materials
  • Establishing and monitoring procedures for record keeping of correspondence and filing
  • Assisting in report writing whenever required

Competencies for Office Admin Assistant Job

  • Be a Kenyan citizen
  • Be a holder of a Diploma in Human Resource Management/Business
  • Administration/Procurement and Supplies Management or the equivalent from a recognised institution
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a busy environment
  • Must demonstrate strong supervisory skills
    Demonstrate merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be self-driven with a lot of initiative and drive
  • Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to the values and principles outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution.
  • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya
