Sales Assistant, Bancassurance Jobs – (Britam Uganda)


Job Purpose

Selling insurance products through the assigned banks and building long term relationship with the banks.  Prefered candidate Ugandan National.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for insurance business and delivered for banks Participate in customer account and relationship management for Bancassurance business
  • Process  tenders and avail required documentation on time
  • Follow-up renewals to ensure business retention are optimised and the prescribed retention ratio is achieved
  • Handle Customer complaints, written or verbal, and refer upwards where necessary
  • Participate in training bank officers on Britam General products to enable them sell effectively
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time


Working Relationships – Internal & External

  • Accountable to the Manager Bancassurance
  • Required to liaise and work closely with the other departments as may be necessary
  • Britam customers
  • Banks


Knowledge, experience and qualifications required

  • Bachelor of Commerce degree (marketing option preferred)
  • 2-4 years’ experience in insurance/banking/financial services
  • CII Professional certification or reasonable progress to completion
  • Prefered candidate Ugandan National
