SHARED SERVICES MANAGER

The Shared Services Centre (SSC) manages all the transactional work currently being carried out in the operational transactional business support functions in Finance, Human Resources, Logistics, Administration and IT. The Shared Services Centre operates as a customer centric functional Centre to Kenya Programme, Somalia Programme, Pan Africa Programme and the Regional Centre.
The Shared Services Manager will report to the Regional Business Services Manager – HECA and be accountable to the Shared Services Governance Group. The role and function of the position will include providing leadership of the centre, driving process improvements and operational efficiencies, measuring and reporting on service delivery standards and the management of the Shared Services Centre budget. It will require demonstrable good customer service, excellent people management skills and ability to manage a large team with multiple professional disciplines in a dynamic fast paced programme environment.
The role will act as an escalation point for unresolved queries and complaints as well as promoting and instilling effective partnership working with internal stakeholders. To be successful in the role, you must have previous experience of establishing and leading an effective Shared Services Centre; must have professional knowledge and demonstrable experience and a track record of leading at least three of the Shared Services business support functions with value addition and effectiveness. The three mandatory functions will include: Finance, Logistics/Procurement and HR.
