Research & Development
Denmark – Bagsværd

Do you want to use your statistical background to develop drugs and improve the lives for patients over the world? Do you want to help scientists in Novo Nordisk use their experimental resources and data in the best possible way? If so, we offer a challenging position as statistical consultant in CMC Development. We have two positions open, one as statistician and one as principal specialist in statistics.

About the Department
The job is in CMC Process & Training Support, a department in CMC Development responsible for LEAN, Training support, statistical support as well as process governance across Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) Development

CMC Development is the link between early research and full scale production. We develop all new products for Novo Nordisk, and produce the product in pilot scale during clinical trials.

The position
As a statistician in CMC Development you support the development of products, manufacturing processes and analytical methods. You cooperate with colleagues of other areas of expertise across the organisation to solve their problems using statistical methods. Good solutions balance business needs and quality requirements, and close collaboration with stakeholders is needed to ensure this. You present statistical solutions in a clear language and ensure that they are used as intended. You develop and teach courses and workshops in statistical topics. You may also work in improvement projects across CMC Development. The statistical tools are often linear mixed models, design of experiments, general explorative statistics and statistical process control.

You are part of the function CMC Support that delivers specialised support to CMC Development. We are four statisticians in the department. We value creativity, innovation and the ability to work with people of different backgrounds, and focus on standardising and optimising work processes. You have ample opportunity to develop your professional and personal skills as well as influencing your job.

Qualifications
You have a strong background in mathematical statistics as Master’s in Science or Ph.D. in statistics or engineering. You are curious and interested in other scientific disciplines. You attend to details and are systematic in your work, but you also simplify complex matters to an appropriate level in order to communicate clearly with other scientists, management or regulatory authorities. You work independently and with high engagement. You have experience with SAS for Windows and maybe also experience with SAS JMP. You speak and write English and preferably also Danish fluently.

For the position as principal specialist, we expect that you have 3-5 years of experience from a similar position in the pharmaceutical industry with a proven track record. For the position of statistician, relevant experience is an advantage, but is not required.
