1. Head of Risk Department

Job description:
Under the administrative supervision of the CEO, the head of Risk and Compliance Department is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the Department.

Key responsibilities:
• Establishment of systems and procedures relating to risk identification, measurement and control and monitoring of loan and investment portfolio quality and early warning signals;
• Ensuring that risk remains within the boundaries established by the board and the Central Bank regulations;
• Ensuring that business lines comply with risk parameters and prudential limits established by the board;
• Remedial measures to address identified deficiencies and problems;
• Report periodically to the Board of Directors.

Qualifications and other requirements

The candidates must:
ü Be of Rwandan Nationality;
ü Have at least a university degree in Economics or Management;
ü Proven experience of at least 3 years in risk management in a supervisory position;
ü Fluent in English ;
ü Team player;
ü Have organizational skills ;
ü Demonstrate a high level of integrity;
ü Be immediately available to start work.

2. Treasury Manager
Job description:
The expected Treasury Manager is to assess, monitor, plan and manage the efficient utilization of cash and financial services in a manner consistent with the objectives of the company.

1. a. Detailed roles and responsibilities:
ü Understand, manage, and supervise all aspects of cash flow;
ü Forecast daily cash requirements and execute daily financing decisions;
ü Manage all aspects of In-house investment portfolios;
ü Direct, monitor and trade investment portfolios including working capital, high-yield; Escrow, and other portfolios;
ü Manage long-term and short-term investment strategies;
ü Determine the company’s goals and risk tolerance;
ü Determine the company’s tax position and the applicability of taxable/non-taxable instruments;
ü Assess risk/return tradeoffs in guidelines;
ü Assess the performance benchmarks and recommend changes when warranted;
ü Review and recommend changes to the investment policies based on the market conditions;
ü Prepare or monitor company’s various cash flow forecasts and perform financial modeling;
ü Evaluate, develop and appropriate accounting procedures and processes;
ü Manage relationships with financial services providers;
ü Monitor bank service fees and address quality issues;
ü Conduct benchmark studies of banks and their services to evaluate whether it fits UB’s requirements;
ü Meet with cash management banks to plan cash managements vs. UB’s needs;
ü Evaluate alternative long-term borrowing strategies and make recommendations in accordance with the capital structures guidelines;
ü Manage; direct, and develop cash management staff;
ü Recommend, implement and maintain process improvements;
ü Provide technical and other support for merges and acquisitions and other projects as needed;
ü Support and participate in Granite’s Strategic plan activities;
ü Additional duties as directed by supervisor.

1. b. Required Skills:
ü Knowledge of investment portfolio strategy, banking and financial instruments.
ü Advanced analytical, organization, and interpersonal skills.
ü Advanced spreadsheet and modeling skills.
ü Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communication skills.
ü Able to break down problems into meaningful parts and come to rational and well-though out conclusions;
ü Demonstrated strong project management skills;
ü Attention to detail and accuracy;
ü Willing to adapt quickly to quick changes in direction;
ü Internal motivated to seek out answers, generate ideas, and develop new skills.

1. c. Qualification:
ü Be a Rwandese by Nationality
ü Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance.
ü Extensive experience in preparing cash forecasts and cash flow analyses.
ü Experience in building complex financial models to evaluate various financial plan.
ü Experience in presenting and preparing proposal to recommend new products/services.
ü Experience leading, coaching and developing staff.

3. Chief Executive Officer’s Secretary
Job description:
Under the supervision of Chief Executive Officer, the CEO Secretary will perform the following duties:
– Monitoring CEO Agenda;
– Receive, direct and relay telephone messages;
– Care of CEO visitors and their appointments management;
– Monitoring CEO audience requests;
– Coordinating CEO activities by sorting and orientating files;
– Maintain the general filing system and file all correspondence;
– Assist in the planning and preparation of meetings, conferences and telephone calls;
– Maintain an adequate inventory of office supplies ;
– Provide word-processing and secretarial support;
– Type confidential documents on a word processing system.
– Any other duties related to his/her positions.
Qualifications and other requirements
The candidates must:
ü Be of Rwandan Nationality;
ü Have a university degree in Secretariat, Administrative Sciences Management or related field;
ü Proven experience of at least 3 years in secretariat duties ;
ü Fluent in English and French ;
ü Team player;
ü Have organizational skills ;

4. Budget & Business Controller
Job description:
The Budget & Business Controller officer will have a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and will have a recognized professional accountancy qualification.
Key Responsibilities
ü Strategic planning;
ü Strategic management advice;
ü Financial forecasting;
ü Annual budgeting and monitoring;
ü Business metrics development;
ü Price modeling;
ü Product profitability
ü Geographic (branches) vs. industry or client segment reporting;
ü Cost and cost–benefit analysis;
ü Client profitability analysis;
ü IT cost transparency;
ü Buy vs. lease analysis;
ü Cost allocation

ü Be of Rwandan Nationality;
ü Have a university degree in Finance, Management or related field;
ü Proven experience of at least 3 years in management accounting domain
ü Fluent in English and French ;
ü Team player;
ü Have organizational skills ;
ü Demonstrate a high level of integrity;
ü Be immediately available to start work.
