The Business Analyst will work as the primary liaison between the client and the product support/development team throughout the entire solution delivery.

Also managing the client relationship post-implementation and provide ongoing support from a requirements, documentation and solution perspective.

Responsilbilties include;
Conduct business requirement interviews with clients both on-site and remotely.
Understand the client’s existing business processes and assist the client in defining improved business solutions based on the application functionality.
Work with clients to analyze their current and future business needs, recommend best practice solutions, and define and document the detailed specifications for tailoring the software application to these solutions.
Develop documentation for system testing, oversee preparation of user guides and training of the client.
Travel to client sites or be based at the client’s site

The role is full-time, work hours will vary based on the time zones and projects globally. Availability to travel throughout the African Continent is required, along with a flexible passport with the ability to obtain Visas’ at short notice.

Desired Skills and Experience

Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

  • Understand the entire SDLC with experience in all facets, except development.
  • Prior business analysis and client advocacy at a software company.
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Able to deliver presentations and training in a formal environment.
  • Ability and experience to lead and facilitate requirements workshops.
  • Must be able to manage changing priorities and multiple client projects concurrently.
  • Experience in data process analysis and mapping.
  • Ability and experience to lead and facilitate requirements workshops.
  • Ability to take abstract concepts and ideas and translate these into workable requirements.
  • Ability to work with the development and test teams to address questions that may have regarding requirements/scope.
  • Ability to address and manage conflicts that may arise while eliciting requirements.
  • IIBA® CBAP® certification will be highly regarded.

Person Specifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organization & client-service skills.
  • 3-5 years of software business analyst and client advocacy experience
  • 3-5 years Business Analysis experience producing Requirements, Functional Specifications and associated documentation.
  • 2+ years’ experience of system and/or user acceptance testing.
  • 3+ years’ end-to-end experience / understanding of structural Software Development Life Cycles.
