Youth Polytechnic Instructor Job Responsibilities

  • Giving theoretical and practical instruction in carpentry and Joinery;
  • Preparing and maintaining schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, trainee records, teaching and learning materials;
  • Carrying out trainee assessment;
  • Ensuring proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment inventory;
  • Conducting co-curricular activities;
  • Preparing and maintaining of performance records
  • Maintaining discipline, guiding and counseling trainees
  • Monitoring trainees on field work and industrial attachment and compiling progress reports
  • Initiating income generating activities for the institutions.

Qualifications For Youth Polytechnic Instructor Job

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen
  • Be in a Possession of KAPE/CPE/ KCPE and Government Trade Test 1 in Carpentry and Joinery
  • Possession of C minus at ‘O’ Level and a Diploma in technical field from a recognized institution in Kenya will be an added advantage,
  • Have minimum 2 years and above practical experience in the trade,
  • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010

  • Hand delivered applications should be dropped at the offices of the County Public Service located at Msomi Teachers’ College
  • All applications should reach the Chairman County Public Service Board on or before Friday 8th July, 2016.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce their original identity cards, academic and professional certificates and testimonials

For candidates to meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya, applicants must obtain the following clearance:

  • Tax compliance certificate from KRA
  • Clearance certificate from HELB
  • Clearance certificate from Ethics and Anticorruption Commission (EACC)
  • Certificate of Good Conduct from Criminal Investigation Department
